Charley F. Porche'

Charley F. Porche' was born on December 30, 1932 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Charles Franklin & Faye (Durham) Porche'. He passed from this life on October 24, 2006 at his home in Bixby, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years, 9 months & 24 days.

Charley was a graduate of Mounds High School and had lived virtually all of his life in this area. He was proud to have served his country as a member of the United States Army. Many of his working years were spent as a purchasing agent for Burtek Industries in Tulsa. He was a member of the Bixby First United Methodist Church and the National Rifle Association. Charley loved fishing and traveling to some of his favorite destinations which included Colorado, Wyoming and South Texas. He will also be remembered by a great deal of the Bixby community for his love of riding his bicycle. It was very common for him to ride ten to fifteen miles every day around the community.

He married his wife of almost 50 years, Norma (Butler) Porche' on December 10, 1955 in Tulsa. She preceded him in death on May 19, 2005. He is survived by 1 son; F. Paul Porche' of Bixby, 1 daughter; Ann Michelle Porche' of Tulsa, 1 grandson; Charles Paul "Chip" Porche' of Norman, his brother-in-law; Rae W. "Butch" Butler and wife Donna, of Claremore, his sister-in-law; Janet Bradley of Tulsa as well as several other relatives and a host of good friends.

Casket bearers were Jack Darby, Alan Bolton, Tony Read, Bruce Baker, John Farrar & Ed Davis. Music was provided by Anna Coffman-Rottschaeffer.
