LORETTA MAXINE RAMEY
Loretta Maxine Ramey was born on October 8, 1923 in Glenpool, Oklahoma to Lee & Glenna (Brake) Wilmott. She passed from this life on July 29, 2008 in Mounds, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years, 9 months & 21 days.
Loretta retired from her job at Midwestern Instruments in 1962 and spent the rest of her years as a devoted and loving homemaker. She was affiliated with the First Baptist Church of Mounds. She loved being outdoors working in her yard and garden but her favorite love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She married Clyde A. Ramey on June 6, 1941 and after more than 60 years together, he preceded her in death on January 28, 2002. She was also preceded by 3 sisters; Leota Roller, Lou Toner & Mae Putnam, 3 brothers; Leo, Garold & Jim Wilmott, a granddaughter; Pamela Darnell and a great-granddaughter; Melanie Perry.
She is survived by 3 daughters; Gwen Deckard and husband Edward, of Mounds, Sue Spake and husband Houston, of Sand Springs & Linda Young and husband Billy Ray, of Tulsa, 2 sons; Wayne Ramey and wife Linda, of Mounds & Will Ramey of Mounds, 3 brothers; Jack Wilmott of Glenpool, Scott Wilmott of Kiefer & Harold Wilmott of Jenks, 6 grandchildren; Douglas Deckard, Candy Clayton, Steven Deckard, William R. Smith, Mary Ramey & Jeri Ramey-Beeler, 7 great-grandchildren; Christopher Perry, Billy Clyde Smith, Mathew Larsen, Sarah Larsen, Crystal Ramey, Riley Beeler & Luke Beeler, 5 great-great-grandchildren; Alexus Perry, Caleb Perry, Korben Perry, Kamoran Larsen & Kaylee Smith as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Casket bearers were Edward Deckard, Billy Ray Young, Rodney Wilmott, Lense Ramey Jr., Scott Wilmott & L.E. Ramey Sr. Honorary bearers were Larry Webster, Ruben Luna, Ruben Bowers, Leon Barnhart & Junior Burris. Music was provided by Lois Smith.
