Loyd A. Richardson was born on November 22, 1915 in Franks, Oklahoma to Charlie Ritchardson & Lillie Rose (Sherell) Ritchardson. He passed from this life on July 30, 2010 at his home in Bixby, Oklahoma at the age of 94 years, 8 months & 8 days.

Loyd lived all over the country for his work. He was considered a master craftsman in high wall construction and was primarily involved in building concrete bridges and dams. He was also very skilled as a carpenter. He loved to hunt and fish and was almost impossible to beat as a domino player.

He married Beulah (Wilson) Richardson on August 16, 1940 in Ada, Oklahoma and after almost 67 years of marriage, she preceded him in death on July 20, 2007. He was also preceded by 2 sisters; Jane Simpson & Irene Williams and 1 brother; Harley Ritchardson.

He is survived by 1 daughter; Patty Johnson and husband Leon, of Jenks, OK, 2 sons; Lloyd Richardson and wife Sue, of Tulsa & Larry Richardson and wife Patricia, of Sapulpa, OK, 1 sister; Cora Fox of Bixby, 1 brother; Harold Ritchardson and wife Louise, of Texarcana, TX, a special nephew; Glen Simpson and wife Pat of Oologah, OK, 10 grandchildren; Greg Richardson, Mike Richardson, Melissa Boman, Jessica Lee, Megan Johnson, Kristen Johnson, Ashley Richardson, Mitchell Richardson, Shea Boman & Gregory Richardson as well as several other relatives and friends.

Casket bearers are his grandchildren. Music will be provided by Herman & Elsie Wilson.
