Stanley Roberts
Stanley Roberts was born on October 27, 1927 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Willie & Lucy (Bear) Roberts. He passed from this life on November 12, 2005 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma 16 days after his 78th birthday.
Stanley had lived in the Okmulgee area virtually all of his life. He was very proud to have served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Marine Corp as well as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked 35 years as a truck driver before retiring from the Amerigas Propane Company. He was a member of the Nuyaka Indian Baptist Church and his church was always very important to him. He also loved to fish and spend time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by 1 son; Danny Roberts of Morris, Oklahoma, 2 sisters; Ina Hicks of Okemah & LaDonna Beach of Glenpool, 5 grandchildren; Stephanie, Stacy, John, Daniel & Zachary, several great-grandchildren and many other relatives and good friends. He was preceded in death by 1 daughter; Francine Roberts in 1979, 2 brothers; Harley Roberts & Willie Roberts, Jr., 2 sisters; Susie Gammill & Louise Deeringwater and 1 grandson; Damon.
