Margie M. Rodgers was born on May 1, 1937 in Bedias, Texas to Samuel Otis & Hortense (Rush) Buckalew. She passed from this life on May 8, 2006 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, 7 days after her 69th birthday.

Margie will be remembered by her family and friends as a very devoted and loving homemaker. She was a member of the New Beginnings Baptist Church and was also quite active in her neighborhood women's group. She always loved to cook, especially for times when all the family was together. She also loved to spend her time reading. Her family will always remember her commitment to taking care of her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years, Joseph S. Rodgers on May 3, 2002 as well as by 2 brothers; Waymon & Harvey Buckalew. She is survived by 2 daughters; Debbie Hale of Broken Arrow, OK & Teresa Hale of Van Buren, AR, 2 sons; Tommy Ballew of Crosby, TX & Michael Ballew of Sugarland, TX, 2 sisters; Pat Zimmerman of Bryan, TX & Carol Kirkpatrick of Cameron, TX, 1 brother; Charles Buckalew of Huntsville, TX, 11 grandchildren; Brian & Brandon Bliss, Krystal Friedrichsen, Jeremy & Jeffrey Hale, Michelle, Tamara, Samantha, Christina, Brooke & Seth Ballew, 3 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Casket bearers were Tommy Ballew, Michael Ballew, Terry Hale, Lynn Hale, Jeremy Hale & Jeffrey Hale.
