S. Martin I watched him grow through the first four years of his life, and I regret not having seen the last seventeen. He was my only child. He was a handsome boy at that age and he died just as handsome. He was a well behaved child that listened to most everyone that came into his life. He was a fast learner and strived for perfection when doing anything he attempted to do. I loved him then,(as I still do). Thank God for those memories that I have of him. Thank those who took over parenting him when I stepped out of is life, you must have done a lot of things right. He is an all knowing, all seeing and Loving God. He obviously saw something down the road that He didn't want James to go through. I know you all will miss James terribly as will all who knew him. But if we could see through his eyes right now, we would not want him to return to this life for any amount of this world's riches. He has the best of the best along with his Dad and Granny. We love you all and pray for the peace that only God can give. When I came back from Iraq back in October James was part of our Seabee Battalion NMC28. Sad to say I did not know James that much, but he seemed very kind and willing to not better himself but also his country. It’s sad that James left this world at a very young age. I’m very honored to know James for the short time with the Navy Seabees. During the funeral I had a flash back to my grandfather funeral which was 3 yrs ago. He also served in the Navy during WW II. Have to say: Once a Sailor always a sailor. James now instead of riding a physical ship, he has been called aboard a celestial ship. The Boatswain has blown his whistle and James his onboard and the brow has been brought up.
