Ronnie Scott

Ronnie Scott was born on August 21, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to William H. & Hazel (Bruce) Scott. He passed from this life on December 1, 2005 at his home in Bixby, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years, 3 months & 10 days.

Ronnie grew up and had lived in this area virtually all of his life. He was a graduate of Bixby High School. He was proud to have served his country as a member of the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany and served as an Army Ranger in the 3rd Infantry Division Long Range Patrol Company. He retired from the Tulsa Police Department where he worked for 20 years as a detective in the Homicide Division. He was an active member of the Jenks Masonic Lodge #497 A.F. & A.M., was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite member and a Shriner. His family and friends warmly remember his loves of O.U. football, hunting & fishing, motorcycles, his clean white pickups and how he loved spending time with his friends. He will be remembered as a very good man that always had the highest degree of integrity and character and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Patricia Ann Scott, whom he married on May 22, 2001 in Branson, Missouri, as well as by 1 son; Sheldon W. Scott of Cordova, Alaska, 1 sister; Karen Scott-Kinkead of McAlester, OK, 2 grandsons; Garrett Wade Scott & Carson Ray Scott and numerous friends, lodge brothers and fellow police officers. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents whom he was especially close to, James & Bessie Bruce.

Casket bearers were Doug Wyer, Jerod Wyer, Bob Douglas, Eric "Huck" Huckabee, Scott Cashon & Robert Sawyer. Honorary bearers were Roy Hunt, John Umholtz, Burton Hargis, Jack Quinn, Bobby Grotts, John Hickey, Lloyd Applegate, Robert Crocker, Ronnie Harris & Delmer "Blackie" Blackburn.

The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the Tulsa Police Department Honor Guard and the Jenks Masonic Lodge #497 for their involvement in the service.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #93 Scholarship Fund, 12512 E. 21st, Tulsa, OK 74129.
