Montra F. Shelby was born on November 13, 1929 in Velma, Oklahoma to J. Carlos & Velma (Coulter) Eastwood. She passed from this life on May 7, 2008 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years, 5 months & 24 days.

Montra grew up in the Oklahoma City area and was a graduate of Oklahoma City Central High School. She attended Oklahoma City University and also worked at the Baptist Bookstore. She had been a resident of the Liberty community since 1970. She worked over 25 years as the office manager for the H.L. Moss Appliance Repair Co. When she was not working, she was the consummate homemaker for her family and greatly enjoyed crocheting, reading, cooking and canning.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert E. Shelby whom she married on March 11, 1951 in Midwest City, Oklahoma as well as by 3 sons; William C Shelby of Rotan, Texas, Russell L. Shelby and wife Kelly, of Liberty Mounds & James S. Shelby and wife Monica, of Tulsa, 1 brother; Jerry Eastwood of Piedmont, OK, 3 grandchildren; Necia Dawn, Shawn & Eric, 1 great-granddaughter; Allison and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded by her parents and a brother; J.C. Eastwood.

Casket bearers were William Shelby, Jimmy Shelby, Russell Shelby, Bob Carpenter, Mark Cottom & Billy Rose.
