Joe Lee Skeeter
Joe Lee Skeeter was born on October 2, 1944 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Jim & Sadie (Green) Skeeter. He passed from this life on November 11, 2005 at his home in Hectorville, Oklahoma at the age of 61 years, 1 month & 9 days.
Joe had lived in this area virtually all of his life. He received his B.A. degree with a double major of Accounting and Economics from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah and worked many years as an accountant and tax preparer. He loved to play golf and was a member of the N.S.U. golf team while in college and played in many state tournaments over the years. He also loved to play basketball when he was a young man. He was a faithful fan of his grandkids sports teams and loved to watch all of them play. He was a member of the Duck Creek Ceremonial Grounds and will be forever remembered for his good sense of humor.
He is survived by 3 daughters; Jacque Hill of Glenpool, Kathy Skeeter of Tulsa & Stephanie Back of Broken Arrow, 1 son; John Skeeter of Pahrump, Nevada, 1 brother; Andrew Skeeter of Tulsa, 6 grandchildren; Mark Back II, Britain Back, Bradley Hill, Derek Hill, Aubrey Skeeter & Sadie Skeeter as well as several other relatives and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters; Susan Deere & Sarah McNac Tehee.
Casket bearers were Matthew Littlehead, Felix Brown, Phillip Wilson, Randy Harry, Daniel Littlebear & Ted Tiger. Honorary bearers were Simon Harry, Sonny Littlebear, Virgil Harry & Junior Bear.
