Renus F. Smith was born on October 4, 1933 in Hulbert, Oklahoma to Homer Austin & Bertha (Halpain) Smith. He passed from this life on November 21, 2007 in La Jolla, California at the age of 74 years, 1 month & 17 days.

Renus had lived virtually all of his life in the Leonard and Bixby communities. He retired as the owner of C&S Chemical Supply Co. after more than 20 years. He was a member of the Bixby Quarterback Club and the Bixby Coffee Shop Crew. He was an avid outdoorsman that loved hunting and fishing. He was a devoted grandfather and loved spending time spoiling his grandkids.

He is survived by 1 son; Austin Smith and his wife Monica, of Leonard, 1 step-daughter; Melissa of Tulsa, 3 brothers; Leon Smith of Leonard, Art Smith and wife Betty, of Bixby & Howard Smith and wife Dorothy, of Bixby, 4 grandchildren; Reese & Randi Smith, Brandon & Anthony Allen as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends.

Casket bearers were Walter Edmonds, Luther Metcalf, Don Carmichael, Condell Pollard, Bill Pittman & Jim Sweeden. Honorary bearers were Larry Baker, Blaine Sizemore, Larry Edwards, Herby Hampton & all the Coffee Shop Gang. Music was provided by Luther Metcalf and Cindy Foster.
