Evelyn Juanita Tecumseh was born on November 30, 1926 in Dawson, Oklahoma to Charles Marian & Minnie Elizabeth (King) Hoyt. She passed from this life on May 14, 2007 at her home in the Twin Hill community at the age of 80 years, 5 months & 14 days.

Evelyn will be remembered as a loving and devoted homemaker for most of her life. She worked for several years as a nurses aide for the Bixby Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of the Concharty United Methodist Church and was also active with the Twin Hills Senior Citizens group. Some of her favorite activities included sewing, quilting, craftwork, puzzles, especially crossword puzzles, fishing, baking, reading and watching baseball.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Tecumseh on September 14, 1986 as well as by 1 son; Andy Tecumseh, Jr. and 3 sisters. She is survived by 1 son; Alex Tecumseh of Broken Arrow, 1 sister; Geneva McCracken of Moore, OK, 1 brother; Henry Hoyt of California, 5 grandchildren; Tonya Ladd, LaDonna Tecumseh, Sehoya LaMere, Lee Ann Latour & Aaron Tecumseh, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Casket bearers were Jerry Wilson, Jr., Nathan Wilson, Brian On The Hill, Mark Pendegrass, Billy Jack Wilson & Solomon Wilson.
