Hope McLearan Tinkel was born on May 4, 1924 in Bixby, Oklahoma to Jack A. McLearan and Anna (Pregler) McLearan. She passed from this life on December 6, 2011 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years, 7 months & 2 days.

Hope will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends as a devoted Homemaker and Hairdresser. She was a member of the Bixby High School graduating class of 1943. Hope went on to graduate from Hughes Beauty Academy in 1959 and also served on the Tulsa Hairdresser Board. She and her husband Ray were parents to two boys, Ken and Chuck. Hope was a very devoted mother and was remarkably able to run Hope's Beauty Shop from her home while raising her family.

Hope was a truly loving and giving person. She was well known for her willingness to give anything she could to someone else in need. She did so with a wonderful unselfish spirit. Some of her favorite activities were teaching Sunday School at First Baptist Church, telling funny stories and jokes to all who would listen, sponsoring numerous little league teams, cheerleading squads and any other activities for children and youth that she thought needed her support. Perhaps her favorite activity of all was being a wonderful Grandmother to her Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray Tinkel, one daughter, Linda C. Tinkel and by 4 siblings, Ocey McLearan, Lillian Fletcher, Ernest McLearan and Ada Smith.

She is survived by her 2 sons; Ken Riker and his wife Janice of Broken Arrow, & Chuck Tinkel and his wife Jo Dee of Tulsa, 3 sisters; Mary Shanks of Bixby, Jewell Sweet of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Dorothy Mitchell of Bixby, 1 brother Fred McLearan of Tulsa, 4 grandchildren; Jamie Spoerl, Jilliane Tinkel, Aarone Tinkel, & Mechele Wright, and 6 Great-Grandchildren; Auston Wright, Lauren Wright, Jaylon Wolfe, A. J. Spoerl, Jaxson Bellamy, and Avery Grace Spoerl. Hope will be lovingly remembered and missed by all who knew her.

Casket Bearers are Ken Riker, Chuck Tinkel, Randy Mitchell, Bill Spoerl and Jeff Davis.
