Samantha Odessa "Dessie" Tollette was born on May 1, 1914 in Dover, Arkansas to James Riley Stubblefield & Mary Elizabeth (Roberts) Stubblefield. She passed from this life on May 4, 2009, 3 days after her 95th birthday.

Dessie had lived in Oklahoma virtually all of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.E. "Buck" Tollette whom she married on September 10, 1938 in Stone Bluff, OK, 1 great-grandson, 1 great-great-grandson, 6 brothers and 3 sisters. She was a wonderful wife, homemaker and mom and a special grandmother.

She leaves 3 daughters; Eilene McLaughlin of Morris, Mary Wilson of Hectorville & Gladys Smith of Bixby, 4 sons; George "Bub" Tollette and wife Rose, of Hectorville, Earl Tollette and wife Velma, of Boynton, John Tollette and wife Judy, of Ripley & Pat Tollette and wife Janie of Locust Grove, 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.

Casket bearers were Kevin Roman, Joseph Pierce, Wayne Conley Jr., Robert Tollette, Steven Tollette & Sean Goad. Music was provided by Dr. Danna Decker.
