Roger Dale Turner was born on August 1, 1956 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Murle Andrew Turner and Leona Sue (Dunlap) Turner. He passed from this life on May 6, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 54 years, 9 months & 5 days.

Roger had lived in the Leonard, Bixby and Haskell communities virtually all of his life. He worked many years for Carmichael's Produce in Bixby. He always loved the outdoors, whether he was fishing, hunting or working. He especially loved squirrel hunting with his dog Ebony. Even if he didn't catch a fish or see a squirrel, he was always happiest out in nature.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother; Leona Turner of Bixby, 2 daughters; Erin Naugle & Rebecca Turner both of Liberty Mounds, 1 son; Matthew McCollum of Bixby, 2 step-sons; Scott Puryear of Tulsa, & Brian Puryear of Liberty Mounds, 2 sisters; Marilyn Sue Patton of Owasso & Ethel Lucille Turner of Bixby, 3 brothers; Tommy Wayne "Tuck" Turner of Leonard, Bobby Joe Turner of Bixby & David Ray Turner of Broken Arrow, 4 grandchildren; Makinzzie Naugle, Makail Naugle, Makara Naugle & Colt Naugle, Jr., his longtime loving friend and companion; Shirley Giordano and several other relatives and friends.
