JOHN W. WALKER

John William Walker was born on November 12, 1939 in Bixby, Oklahoma, to Haskell and Bonnie (Shores) Walker. He passed from this life on June 17, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, 7 months & 5 days.

John grew up in Bixby and graduated from Bixby High School. He went on to receive several Associate Degrees in different areas of study. He worked as a Production Operations Manager for the Telex Corporation for many years before moving on to other job interest. He was employed by Sherwin Williams as a Service Manager at the time of his death. He married his wife, Linda on September 28, 2007. Although they didn't share many years together, they loved each other and spent as much time as possible doing things they enjoyed. John was a cherished and active member of the Shellenbarger Free Will Baptist Church in Bixby. He loved music and served as Song Leader for many years. He especially enjoyed upbeat Gospel Music. John was a loving and caring man. His family would like for him to be remembered as a Godly man, an extremely hard worker and a man who put his family before others. He loved to fix things and was often called upon by friends and family when something broke. He was also a man who loved his Harley and old western movies, preferably those that stared John Wayne. John enjoyed being outdoors and loved hunting and fishing with Terry and Darron.

John was preceded in death by his parents.
