David Lee "Big Dave" Watkins was born on July 31, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Dallas Lee & Bonnie M. (Willcutt) Watkins. He passed from this life on September 16, 2007 at his home in Bixby, Oklahoma at the age of 44 years, 1 month & 16 days.

"Big Dave" worked as a machinist for Baker Oil Tools and also as a truck driver. He was the most happy when he was outside driving a tractor or a truck. His greatest joys in life always centered around his family. He was dearly loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Lisa Kaye (Henderson) Watkins, whom he married on January 17, 1987 in Leonard, Oklahoma as well as by 2 daughters; Kaci Henson and husband Cody, of Bixby and Amanda Watkins of the home, his parents; Dallas & Bonnie Watkins of Haskell, 1 sister; Susan Watkins of Bixby, 2 brothers; Mike Watkins of Stone Bluff & Randy Watkins of Haskell, his first grandchild which is due in December; Taylor Leigh Henson and numerous other family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Ethel Dunlap-Durossette, E.L. Watkins and Geneva Watkins-Gibson.

Casket bearers were Mike Watkins, Randy Watkins, Mark Watkins, Harley Watkins, Gary Kifer, Mike Henderson, Jim Brashear, Paul Beede, Thomas Watkin & Cody Henson. Honorary bearers were Kelly Watkins, Bull Snider, Kelly Hall, Kevin Poe, Jason Beede & Chris Coats.
