MAXINE WATKINS
Maxine Watkins was born on January 10, 1936 in Yonkers, Oklahoma to Leslie Gosnell & Juanita (Robinson) Gosnell. She passed from this life in Tulsa, Oklahoma on her 73rd birthday, January 10, 2009.
Maxine had lived in this area most of her life. She was a graduate of Jenks High School and had lived in Bixby for many years. She was a member of the Shellenbarger Free Will Baptist Church and loved listening to gospel music. She was a retired interior decorator for Sears. Some of her favorite activities included bowling and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Watkins in 2001 as well as by 1 son; Tracy Watkins, 1 grandson; Christopher Watkins, 1 brother; John Gosnell and 1 sister; Martha Evans. She is survived by 2 sons; Charles Watkins of Bixby and Chris Watkins and wife Glenda, of Bixby, 1 daughter; Robin Mosley and husband David, of Bixby, 8 grandchildren; Staci, Craig, Zachary, Andrea, Amanda, C.J., Trey & Tracy Marie, 4 great-grandchildren; Skylar, Charles, Elliott & Corbin and several other relatives and good friends.
Casket bearers were Craig Watkins, Charles Watkins, Jr., Charles R. Watkins III & Zachary Hillhouse.
