Mabel Rosetta West was born on March 24, 1919 in Slayton, Minnesota to Fred H. Clarke & Lydia E. (Warmbold) Clarke. She passed from this life on October 3, 2009 in Tarzana, California at the age of 90 years, 6 months & 9 days.

Mabel had worked many years as a clerk for the Los Angeles school system before her retirement. She was very involved and dedicated to her beloved Jesus Is Lord Church located in Azusa, California. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother and wife that was a great cook and enjoyed sewing, quilting, making dolls, art & crafts and gardening.

She was preceded in death by 4 siblings; George Clarke, Grace Lindstrom, Ruth Murphy & Ross Clarke and 1 grandson; James Dean Owen.

She is survived by her husband, Robert F. West whom she married on July 2, 1977 in San Fernando, California as well as by 2 daughters; Verna Edwards of San Jose, CA & Beverly Owen and husband J.D., of Hectorville, OK, 1 son; Gary Packer and wife Linda of Sacramento, CA, 7 grandchildren; Stephanie Pierce, Constance Bolding, Gina Edwards, Glorianne Clark, Carol Carmen, John David Owen & Michael Dion Owen, 10 great-grandchildren; Maria Perron, Nathan Clark, Grace Clark, Lauren Clark, Noell Davis, Summer Davis, Robert Boyd, Jacob Boyd, Caden Bolding & Raquell, 1 great-great-granddaughter; Elena Perron and several other relatives, church family and friends.

Casket bearers are David Owen, Michael Owen, J.D. Owen, Eric Carmen, Nathan Clark & Jeff Perron.
