Robert L. Whitney
Robert L. Whitney was born on November 28, 1956 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Robert Leo & Virginia L. (White) Whitney. He passed from this life on June 9, 2006 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 49 years, 6 months & 12 days.
Robert was a graduate of Bixby High School and had lived most of his life in the Bixby community. He worked in construction, cabinet making and surveying before becoming disabled a few years ago which made him unable to work. He loved fishing & hunting, O.U. football and the Green Bay Packers, cooking, coaching kid's sports and could always be counted to help anyone that needed something.
He is survived by his wife; Teresa (Daniels) Whitney, whom he married on December 19, 1996 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas as well as by his mother; Virginia Whitney of Okmulgee, 1 son; Robert L. Whitney and wife Danielle, of Bixby, 1 daughter; Amber Whitney-Lipe and husband Sgt. Jonathon Lipe, of Lawton, OK, 2 brothers; Ron Whitney and wife Gloria, of Beggs & Don Whitney and wife Terri, of Bixby, 2 sisters; Patricia Whitney-Gable and husband Bill, of Owasso & Cheryl Whitney-Clay of Okmulgee, 2 step-children; Nick & Penni Hall of Bixby, 5 nieces & nephews; Richard, Jamie & Rebecca Gable and Dylan & Deanna Whitney, his mother-in-law; Ruby Daniels of Bixby and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.
Casket bearers were Joe Gregory, Shane Vannoy, Bobby Whitney, Donny Whitney, Nick Hall & Luke Pierce.
