HARRISON "SLIM" WILBORN, JR.
Harrison "Slim" Wilborn, Jr. was born on February 25, 1932 in Oaks, Oklahoma to Samuel Harrison Wilborn and Lue Ella (Beasley) Wilborn. He passed from this life on April 10, 2009 at his home in Mounds, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years, 1 month & 16 days.
"Slim" had lived in this area for most of his life. He was a graduate of Mounds High School and his working years were spent as a pipefitter and inspector for Texaco and Sun Oil Co. He was a member of the Sapulpa Masonic Lodge #170 and will be remembered for his loves of driving in antique tractor pulls, bird hunting, fishing and spending time with family & friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 43 years, Patsy Cox Wilborn on November 20, 1996 as well as by 3 brothers; Roy, Ralph & George and 1 sister; Edna Creason.
He is survived by his wife; June Wilborn whom he married on July 15, 2000 at the Duck Creek Church in Liberty Mounds as well as by 2 sons; Larry Wilborn and wife Joyce of Sapulpa & Sandy Wilborn and wife Tammy, of Sapulpa, 2 brothers; Frank Wilborn of Mounds & Clyde Wilborn of Santa Fe, New Mexico, 1 sister; Ethel Blair of Bristow, 5 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, 3 great-granddaughters and 1 great-grandson. In addition, he leaves a brother-in-law; Kenneth Creason and wife Betty, of Mounds, a sister-in-law; Nina Wilborn of Muldrow, 1 step-son, 2 step-daughters, 10 step-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and good friends.
Casket bearers were Larry Wilborn, Sandy Wilborn, Jim Sanders, Jose Ramon III, Steve Fisher & Jason Wilborn.
