HAROLD G. WILMOTT
Harold G. Wilmott, former mayor of Jenks, was born on August 5, 1933 in Glenpool, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on October 9, 2011 at his home in Jenks, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years, 2 months & 4 days.
In addition to mayor, Harold served with the Jenks City Council from 1969 to 1991 as a council member and vice-mayor. He was retired from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers after 33 years of employment as a technical draftsman and also retired from the Tulsa World where he had worked as a security officer for 8 years. He was proud to have served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War and was an avid lover of the military. Harold's long list of accomplishments included serving as a Boy Scout Master in his younger years, as a Jenks Fire Department volunteer, a member of the Jenks Lions Club and member of the Glenpool V.F.W.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 55 years, Patsy Ann (Pauli) Wilmott whom he married on December 30, 1955 in Jenks. He is also survived by 2 children; Terry Wilmott and Tami Foust, 1 son-in-law; Robert Foust, 2 grandchildren; Travis & Tatum Foust and a host of other relatives and friends.
Casket bearers are Rodney Wilmott, David Carter, Tim Beach, Tim Wallace, Paul Hossenlopp & Vic Vreeland. Honorary bearers are Thelbert Carter, Bentley Beach & Donald Lightner. Music will be provided by Gigi Welling Hill.
