BILLY JOE YARBROUGH
Billy Joe Yarbrough was born on October 25, 1931 in Maud, Oklahoma to John F. Yarbrough and Myrtle N. (Jackson) Yarbrough. He passed from this life on September 25, 2011 at his home in Bixby, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years and 11 months of age.
Billy had been a resident of the Bixby community for almost 16 years. He served his country for 30 years and 1 day before retiring from the United States Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant. After his military retirement, he worked for and retired from the Immigration and Naturalization Service. He received his Associates Degree from Eastern Oklahoma State College and was formerly active in the Masonic Lodge. He and his wife were active, well-loved members of Riverview Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers; John F. Yarbrough and Robert Yarbrough. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mary L. (Logan) Yarbrough whom he married over 55 years ago on February 17, 1956 in McAlester, OK. He is also survived by 1 daughter; Kelly Yarbrough of Glenpool, 2 sons; Gregory Yarbrough and wife Sandi, of San Antonio, TX & Tim Yarbrough and fiancé Niki Belden, of San Antonio, TX, 6 grandchildren; Allison, Kyle, Katherine, Hayley, Landon & Ian Yarbrough, 2 nephews; Steven Yarbrough of Vermillion, South Dakota & Michael Yarbrough of Kansas City, MO as well as several other relatives, church family and good friends.
Casket bearers will be Billy's nephews.
